Rebecca's Birthday Celebration...

WARNING!!!!! LONG POST...

This was again another time of my life where i had to do the planning... similarly like my BBQ... i was stressed out.... But being the official planner and organizer in the gang, i have to face this challenges... Ok... enough bragging... ill jus get to the story...

Well... first.. let me introduce rebecca..... she is a smart, funny, jovial, caring, pretty, and everything nice.... type of fren who will be there for u....

This time.. we planned to go to 1 Utama (1U).... the idea of this celebration was brought up during the BBQ party... it was going to be a small celebration where onli 7 out of 11 ppl invited turned up... all the planning was fine until one night before (26/10/07)...
Thats when rebecca msg me saying that tommy wont be able to make it cuz he was not feeling well... tommy was suppose to be one of the drivers... this means that we have no one driving to 1U.... i messaged Vicky and amar pleading them to drive to 1U... after a lot of discussion and confusion.. i onli managed to get everything settled at 12am on the 27th.... so basically.... everyone was blur about the time we r meeting up and who is picking up who...

I woke up at 8am in the morning and straight away started messaging everyone bout the whole plan... and at that time... vicky and amar tells me that they can drive... wat a huge relief... so i manage to assign the task to each of them to pick the person staying nearest to their place... By 8.30... everything was settled..

When we reached 1U... the next thing was where to eat... after a lot of walking + arguments we got ourselves seats in Jake's place... its a western food cafe... im going to fast forward to story a bit...

we easily spent bout an hour and a half there... i was practically talking to yoke wah the whole time... i finally manage to engage a LONG conversation with her... (after complaining to rebecca that i couldnt find a topic to talk to yoke wah during my BBQ party.... Becca was obviously frustrated... cause i hardly talked to her..... but nevertheless... she was enjoying herself...

After lunch, all of us split up... it was since everyone had their own agenda... it was me and yoke wah again together.... FAST-FORWARDING AGAIN...

We then decided to go play pool in connaught... we were back again in our 3 cars... i jus had to take the LDP highway instead of Kerinci link... and i got stuck in a jam... but it was worth it... cause i manage to catch up with joceline's life..... she hardly comes for our mamak session, so i dun get to see her....

by the time i reached there... they had already started playing.... becca teamed up with vicky and joceline who replaced yoke wah teamed up with amar.... i who had no partner to play with and dunno how to play... became amar's team manager.... unfortunately.... they were not performing to their standards after all i have thought them bout the game...

BBQ Party.. 02_2007

After 2 whole weeks so solid stress pounding my head because of the planning of my BBQ party over and above the load from my mid terms, i managed to successfully organize my BBQ party... This will be my second BBQ part this year held at my place with a 9 months gap...

Only 12 ppl from 17 turned up to the party... well u might be thinking... onli 17 ppl were suppose to come.. how stressful can that be... thats where ur wrong... i spent 3 freaking days calling about 30 ppl and half of them had other plans on... and some gave me the award winning answer "Sorry lah... i cant make it... but its still ok wat if i dun come.... U got 10 ppl edi coming."... WTF... if everyone thinks in this mentality, i will never be able to organize anything... WTF answer was that...

Anyway... i made a mistake... i din organize it my self... it was organized by my Mamak group.... I being the Organizing Chairman, had to do most of the work... the others in my group jus prepared the food and my assistant organizer, Rebecca, did half of the invitation...

The day of 6th Oct finally arrived and i spent about 7 hours preparing for the party... from the bbq stuff to the cleaning of the house and to the sound system... and plus my maid has gone back for raya... damn... And the best part of it was my mom forgot to tel my dad that i was gonna have the party... so my dad onli knew about it 1 night before that... thank god he was not mad...

So anyway... party was suppose to start at 7 but onli 4 ppl were there at that time... surprisingly... i thought onli indians were not punctual... but it seems that they came earlier than the chinese ppl... guess the times have change....

Everyone started to arrive at 8 and by that time the fire was jus nice and the BBQ started... i din have to bbq at all cuz my fren joanne did everything.... Farrah did the best job ever.... learn to become a mother... she had to serve everyone food...



The day jus ended up with us trying to catch up on each others activities.... the most entertaining segment would have been the part where my fren Arvind's story was spilt out... everything from football to his most embarrassing situation... He became the spotlight of the day...


As cleaning is concern.... my frens cleared up the stuff and i was done for the day....I was dead shit tired..... I slept like a cow and woke up the next day and had to clean all the BBQ utensils...

Bonquet Royale

Sorry guys... and girls... it has been like 1 month since i last updated.... been lazy and busy at the same time... I never had the time to write bout my college prom nite.... it happend kinda way back... There is was... the day of 25th August arrived.... It was the day of my prom nite.... and also my sis graduation.... so i had to wake up like 8 in the morning at get ready for my sis convo....... let me jus cut the story short.... when there... sat like a fool for bout 45 mins..... i was sirring down on the chair listening to some music.... my sis and parents came out later and we took pictures... DONE...



Getting back to the story.... Got back to college bout 4.45pm and quickly dressed up and shaved and did my hair and was ready by 5.30pm... My prom date was not to go to Pan Pacific with me... she will be going by herself cuz she was involved in the performances... So.... At 5.30 i was waiting with a bunch of my frens in front of the reception of the college as that is where the college buses will be picking us up... In one hand was my camera and on the other was a rose for my prom date.... All my other girl frens on the bus said it was very sweet and romantic thing for me to do... hehe... when i arrived there, I called up one of my frens who was in possession of my ticket... he said he was on the way... His "on-the-way" was bout half an hour... So.... picture me as a guy who was standing at the lobby near the entrance for half an hour with a rose in my hand... it was rather embarrassing in a way... it looks like my date is not going to turn up or something...

When she did turn up... i gave her the flower and she was absolutely flattered... As we sited ourselves on our respective table, my other frens were snapping pictures like there was no tomorrow... It din take me long to get started with those picture snapping... As the program... i could hardly be bothered by wats happening.... i jus saw a bit of this and that.... hehe... jus spent more that half of my time flirting with my prom date who appears to be one of the nominees for the prom queen....

My Prom Date.... The onli performances i can remember which was some indian dance which sucks horribly which made me not proud to be an indian... and i obviously have to remember the choir performance... cuz my prom date was singing in it.... ill upload the picture when i get a good picture of it... The sad part was that i din get to dance with her cuz she went clubbing with others on my table... i was not so in the clubbing mood that day and i din have enuff money to go clubbing... hehe...

2 years back... my school was involved in the merdeka day celebration... i noe wat all of u might be thinking... i was not those bunch of people dancing in the middle of the field doing some formation...

NO... i was involved in National Day Choral Speaking.... it was like super fun... bout 180 of us was involved.... The best part was the SBU (Bukit Bintang Girl School) and MGS (Methodist Girl School) girls were involved... hehe.... ill leave the rest of the story for u to fill in... and our conductress was damn cute and pretty... hehe...

well.... as i was saying... we did not have to burn under the sun like the students doing formation... we could practice in the hall... and later come out for half and hour to the feild to rehearse with the rest....

Oh yea... forgot the BEST PART again.... NO STUDIES FOR 2 MONTHS.... YAHOOO!!!!! and at the end of the day... we walk home with RM 330....

50th Post...

Jus by doin my maths... i realised that it has been 20 days since my last post...

well... i cant be blammed for that... wanted to post last week.. but college line sucks to the max.... cant even open my blog page...

friendster was worst... i let it load for a whole day and nothing came out....

back to the point... i have been caught up in my own old these past few days... well... i jus sat for my Grade 8 music exam today.. i learn the Electone ( electronic organ)...

nothing else much... i will doin a few frequent post this next few days... i have a few things running in my mind on wat my next post will be...

Tomorrow i start my classes..... how dreadful... i have to pack up my desktop tonight and shift it there again... haihz... and to make it even better i have an 8 to 10 class in the morning...

ill jus give u an example... "He is suffering from a nervous break-down."... in malay... "Dia menghidapi kegelisahan patah bawah."

9) Baju Sejuk --> Cold Clothes

"Baju Sejuk" actually means Winter wear... I cant imagine anyone wearing cold clothes during winter... its like digging your own grave...

10) Telur Mata Kerbau --> Buffalo eye egg

"Telur Mata Kerbau" actually means sunny-side-up egg... Here is an example.. in Malay... "Saya suka makan telur mata kerbau dengan roti"... in English... "I like to eat buffalo eye egg with bread".... Ewww...

Vista Tips 101 #1

1. Administrator Account in Vista

There are differences in Vista between accounts with "computer administrator" privileges and the Administrator account...... Accounts with "computer administrator" privileges are ones added to the Administrators local group..... The Administrator account, also a member of the local Administrators group, is a separate account that has higher privileges than other users in the local Administrators group. This is very different from previous versions of Windows.

1. To login with the true Administrator account, the account first has to be enabled. By default, the Administrator account is disabled.

2. You can enable the Administrator account with one line from an elevated command line :
net user administrator somecomplexp@ssword /active:yes

3. One More Step: Note: I have not noticed this to be true, but I am passing it on in case:
I have also read that there is one more important thing that needs to be done in Vista to enable the Administrator account. Not only do you have to enable the Administrator account, you also have to disable all other accounts with computer administrator privileges - before the Administrator account can be used as the "Superuser" Administrator. This is unusual, but not surprising considering Microsoft's phobia about security. After you enable the Administrator account, just right click each account in the local Administrators group and disable them. Then reboot the PC and login as Administrator.


2. Add an elevated command line

1. Click Start and type command in the search box... it will then display a number of item.... right-click the shortcut to Command Prompt and click Pin to Start Menu

2. Right-click the shortcut to Command Prompt in the start menu list and click Properties.

3. Click the Advance button and select Run as Administrator . Click Ok to save your settings.


3. Turning off UAC (User Account Control)

1. You can also turn off UAC in Control Panel, User Accounts. Click the link there that reads Change security settings, then, Turn User Account Control Off.

OR

2.Press the Windows + R keys to bring up the RUN window.... type msconfig and then press ENTER... open the Tools pane and then scroll down to Disable UAC and click once on that line. Click the Launch button.


4. Personalizing Your Own Shortcut Keys


The quick launch bar has been there since ages, but it is a little more useful in Vista...

1. Drag a program or a file into the quick launch toolbar.
2. Press the Windows key button on the keyboard plus the number 1 to launch or switch to the first item on the Quick Launch bar.
3. Press Windows key + 2 for the second, and so on.
4. For shortcut number 10, use Windows key + 0.


5. Resize Partitions with Vista Disk Management

Previously, in Windows XP, it was not possible to resize the partition without any data lost... the most common way was to delete the partition and then shrink it or expand it.. Now in Windows Vista it is now possible to resize partitions without any data loss in the new Disk Management console.


1. Click on the Start Button and right click on Computer and select Manage.
2. Expand the Storage section and select Disk Management.
3. Then just right click on any partition and select either Expand or Shrink to change the size of the partition.

This will allow you to safely resize your partitions without any data loss.
