Deepavali

Diwali (or Deepavali) is a major Hindu holiday, and a significant festival in Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Many legends are associated with Diwali. Today it is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs across the globe as the "Festival of Lights," where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being. Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day (approx fifteenth day) of the month Kartika.

In many parts of India and Nepal , it is the homecoming of Lord Ram of Ayodhya, after a 14-year exile in the forest, after he defeated the demonic Ravan. The people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Ram by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (deepa), thus its name: Deepavali.

Anyway... for me... Deepavali means visiting my frens.... As usual.... My deepavali is not complete without breakfast/lunch in Arvind's house..... He will call all his frens.... and they all will be hogging the televison playing play-station..... and another group will be at his pc either playing Counter-Strike or DOTA....

After that.... i will jus go crashing into any of my frens house.... depending who is at home....

and dinner will be at Seenu's place.... thats were all the fun begins..... FIREWORKS!!!!.

Rubik Cube

Until today... I find the person who invented a rubik cube a genius.... i mean... the concept or principals of it is so simple... yet some of us jus like to think TOO MUCH out of the box that we cant think of jus simple stuff...

For those who dunno wat a rubik cube is..... it is a 3 x 3 x 3 cube which has 6 surfaces, each having a colour of its own.... also known as Magic Cube....

Well.... i noe most of u that has tried this can either onli solve one side of it or maximum 2 sides.... onli a few ppl i noe can actually solve it.....

I learnt how to solve it from youtube....





I was jus surfing the net for pictures of Rubik Cube and i stumbled upon this... A Rubik Cube MP3 player.....

I noe that it looks all sophisticated and kewl.... But i think ill jus get is as a decorative....

First of all... if u think this is like any other MP3 player.... ur so wrong.... U will actually have to solve the cube in order to operate it...Each layer you solve will have a different function for you like play, pause, forward or back....


The most tiring part of it is that u actually have to solve the whole cube before u can turn it off....
And it is rather bulky to be carried in the pocket....

Sitar Performance

That was my Sitar Performance in my college for deepavali night....






The show was a blast.... the best thing of all... there was no FIGHTING.....

for some reason.... i dunno y indians like to fight.... **no offense**... Someone should to research on this matter..

Last night.... i witness the fastest man in the world in action.... Usain BOLT...... superb.... 9.69s in 100m....


Beating the world record of 9.72s for the 100m race.... Which was initially set by him in June 2008.... Being the first athlete to break 9.7 seconds without the assistance of a tailwind.



The best part of the race was that he was celebrating before crossing the finishing line while running..... he obviously had a very big gap....

Meanwhile.. Trinidad's Richard Thompson claimed the silver medal in 9.89, narrowly edging out Walter Dix of the United States, who came home in 9.91.

Bolt's fellow countryman Asafa Powell finished in a disappointing fifth place just ahead of Michael Frater, also of Jamaica, in 9.95 as six men went under 10 seconds.

I was watching athletics the whole day yesterday..... and my eyes were glued to the Women's Heptathlon....

Heptathlon consist of the participation in 7 field events.... The women's outdoor heptathlon consists of the following events, with the first four contested on the first day, and the remaining three on day two:

• 100 m Hurdles
• High Jump
• Shot Put
• 200 m
• Long Jump
• Javelin Throw
• 800 m

Through out the events.... My eyes were on this Ukraine girl.... Natalia Dobrynska.... I dunno y.... but i think cuz she was one of the best looking and was kinda good..... she was not leading on the first day.... The leader for the first day's event (Friday) was Hyleas Fountain...

Well.... On the second day... (Saturday)..... My Ukraine Star was leading..... And last night.... after the 800m Race.... she secured the goal medal.... yey...

Got sick within the first week of college....

Work never comes to an end for me..... And if its academic based work... i dun mind....but this is designing..... and frankly speaking... i dun have an imagination of the output before i start designing..... jus by using the vector material i have..... ill put put it here and there and add a lil colour here and there.... and wah-laa..... the design is complete....

And everyday.... i get a new design to do.... and im kinda getting sick of doin it.... i like to do designing at my own pace... and when i have the mood.... if i dun have the mood.... all my designs turn out like crap.....

I hope todays work turns out nicely.....

Anyway... im participating in a 120hours non-stop scrabble game today.... my slot is at 1 - 2 am..... its happening in my college and it will go in the malaysian books of records....

Boredom is killing me slowly..... This is the first time that i was bored on the first day of College.... i practically sat in my room the whole day in front of my pc.....

Design this... then design that..... i think im going to quit designing edi.... im getting bored of doing it..... its nice for a while.... after that it jus gets boring... esp when i dun have the mood to do it.... then everything turns out like shit.... and since its going to go out on a poster, banner or a bunting..... then i wont be even proud to say i did this shit work.....

Now have to start designing for Food Festival..... I so feel like sleeping edi...

This sem break has been the most interesting sem break.... probably cuz of the fact that my mom is in india.... so im kinda free to go out and stuff....

The worst was last week.... me and my frens went to the same mamak.... he ordered mee goreng.... my fren ate it and said.... it sucks..... so i put chili sos... thinking at it was going to enhance the taste.... well... he turned out to be so wrong.... cuz the chili sos was spoilt.... he told the owner of the shop that the mee goreng sucked and the chili sos was spoilt....

the owner said... dun worry... ill ask the cook to make the mee goreng very nicely for u..... the new mee goreng came.... and it still sucked.....

Dead Note...

On the 24th of April this year..... Prem almost died.... haha.....

ok... mayb im over doing things.... my fren drove the car rather recklessly ..... he did a corner at 100 km/h.... haha.... and the car started skidding to the left... so he quickly turned the steering wheel to the right and the car started skidding to the right.... and after the turning... the car did a 180° spin.... There was tired burn smell after that.... but the sad part is there was no tired-skid marks on the road....

THX god it was at 12+ am and this happened near the turning into college.... and there was no other car there.... but it was awesome..... cuz this was the first time i experience someone drifting a car...

IT WAS SUPER DUPER AWESOME.....


I noe i sound crazy... but it was scary at first but it was awesome later on.... hehe...

As usual, playing in the rain can be a bitch at times..... like for instance today... the field wat kinda flooded with rain water... it was raining so heavily that i couldnt properly and i shot the ball and it hit the goal post.... WTF..... it was a clear open goal...

And if thats not bad enuff, Adrian jus had to kick my football into the drain.... and since it was raining heavily, the currents in the drain was so strong that u jus cant take the ball...

I seriously dunno wats wrong with Streamyx...

Well, we all ask the same question too...

Anyway... here is how it goes, i made a report on the 26th of February cuz i was having SUPER DUPER SLOW Internet connection Speed.... i was getting bout 60kbps instead of 1Mbps thats like 6% of wat im suppose to get.... so they managed to fix that issue and i've already closed the report....

And today morning.... one of the streamyx technician calls and ask me bout this report and i told him that i've edi closed it.... and according to him, in the system the report is still open and he ask me if everything is ok so that he can close the report.... i told him that everything was fine and asked him to close the report....

Ok.... i thought that was done..... 20 mins later.... One guy from telekom calls me and tells me bout this same report again.... I WAS LIKE WTF.... i told him ur technician jus called me and i told him to close the report.... He says, " I know. I know. But thats the technical team.... this is from the report sections..." so i told him to please close the report.....

After that... no one bugged me.... When i went back home and switched on my pc and got onto the net... it was freaking slow.... i checked the speed its bout 150kbsp.....WTF.... 15% OF WAT IM PAYING FOR....

WAT R THIS PPL DOING IN THEIR OFFICE???? EATING NASI LEMAK AND DRINKING TEH TARIK??? OR SLEEPING??? WTF...

Piloting Course #1

*Insulting Someone* -Don't Read if U Dun like ppl for Insult others-

i Dunno bout u guys... but I always have 1 guy in my group of friends that is a born loser.... At my neighborhood its Arvind the Great *Mega Blunder*.... At College its Sandeep the Pilot....

Well he is a pilot and he talks hell of a lot for being a pilot.... anyway.... there is so much i can say bout him.... and its all basically insulting... so i shall save the details.... But there was something that happened on Thursday during our Statics (Not Statistics) Class which totally made me hit my head hardly....

U see... my lecturer, Mr. Kumares, is a strict lecturer.... he doesn't like anyone talking in his class so making stupid jokes.... Overall he is a nice lecturer... teaches well.... kills u during ur final exams.... strict in marking...

So during our first class he already gave us our first assignment.... and he mistakenly put the due date as 10/4/07... But its so obvious to the whole class that it was suppose to be year 08.. so i realized this mistake and i nudged sandeep and told him bout it... Sandeep said "If u tell him (Mr. Kumares) he will jus laugh and he will think wat a stupid person u are for telling him such a stupid thing".

So i also kept quiet about it.... Next thing i know... i heard sandeep calling the lecturer, "Sir, u made a mistake in the date. Its suppose to be 08 not 07.".... Thats when i hit my head.... he jus said the lecturer will think wat a dumbass i would have been if i said it... The lecturer's response was "haha... looks like u have to go back in time to submit that assignment..."

SANDEEP, SANDEEP, I REALLY HAVE NOTHING TO SAY BOUT THAT...
